How to register?

REGISTER AT PDC | 2025-2026

The registration dates for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

We ask that you book an appointment using our online reservation system through the following link.

Book an appointment to register at Pierre de Coubertin Elementary School

Parents who are interested in registering their child(ren) at Pierre de Coubertin School should contact us for information about eligibility and programs. Pierre de Coubertin School also registers new students throughout the school year; however, acceptance depends on classroom availability and area of residence.

Please bring the following documents with you to the school when you come for your appointment: 

  • Pierre de Coubertin Registration Form (Please download, print, and complete. We encourage parents to complete the registration form before their scheduled appointment.)
  • The Certificate of Eligibility or Quebec Permanent Code of the parent who is eligible
  • Proof of Canadian citizenship of the parent who is eligible (birth certificate long version or valid Canadian passport)
  • The child's long-form birth certificate showing both parents' names.
  • Proof of Quebec residence (lease, driver's license, utility bill, etc.) (Only for students born outside of Quebec)

*What is a Certificate of Eligibility?

To qualify for English Instruction in Quebec Public Schools, students must meet certain eligibility criteria under the Charter of the French Language as set out by the Quebec government.

To obtain a Certificate of Eligibility, parents must complete an application at the Community Services (Law 101) office located at the English Montreal School Board head office.

Eligibility Requirements for Public English Schools

If you have a Certificate of Eligibility

You must bring the following documents with you to register your child. Originals of these forms can be brought to the school between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm daily:

  • Registration Form
  • Long Version Birth Certificate (showing both parents' names)
  • Immigration papers (required if not born in Canada)
  • Certificate of Eligibility
  • Proof of residence (lease and driver's licence/utility invoice etc.)
    Required only if child was born outside Quebec
  • Citizenship of parent
  • Child's most recent report card (for grades 1 to 6)

If you do not have a Certificate of Eligibility
