Vincent Massey Collegiate Students Bring Holiday Warmth to Food Bank

Montreal - Friday, December 2, 2016

Students from Vincent Massey Collegiate in Rosemount recently kicked off the holiday season at a local food bank, stocking shelves as well as distributing food and clothing to those in need.

Additionally, students requested to both prepare and serve meals, providing those in need with a simple gesture of kindness and compassion.

The students felt that it would be a great idea for those who have to wait in line for hours before they receive their items to leave with a freshly prepared meal they can have on the way home or at home when they arrive,” said Spiritual and Community Animator Rocco Speranza. “With simple acts of compassion and empathy, that are student initiated, one can see how they grow into wonderful community actions and service that truly puts into action the Spiritual and Community Animation objectives of service, charity, unity, and hope.
