Outreach Network supports vulnerable students in this time of uncertainty
Following the closure of schools in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, various staff members from the English Montreal School Board Alternative Outreach High School network took it upon themselves to assist those in need. They have done so through the production of food baskets, which were delivered to the homes and families of 20 students.
The project began with staff members gathering a variety of perishable and non-perishable food items, as well as completing a final grocery run before making the deliveries.
Plans are underway to organize a second phase of support that will meet the needs of their students, and abide by the social distancing protocols currently in-place. In the meantime we hope that everyone in the EMSB community is staying safe and healthy, as we all do our part in flattening the curve," said Network Principal Craig Olenik.
