Humanitarian clowns are different from show clowns who present a well rehearsed spectacle. Our mission is to be available for the needs of the suffering. It can mean a one on one intervention, or spontaneously im-provising with other clowns, family mem-bers or passersby. There are no scripts. By being present to their specific needs we em-power our ‘patients’ by giving worth to their feelings. We acknowledge them, and make sure they know that they are special, never alone and that we care.
